Most of you are sure to know a willow tree when you see one. They are those trees with long lacy branches that bend and sway with the wind. Willow trees can't grow just anywhere. They need enormous amounts of water, so they only grow where there is a constant supply.
Willow trees are celebrated in Japan as a happy tree that brings good luck; in the West, they are viewed as sad trees, trees that weep and constantly mourn.
